Community Bank Owatonna is seeking a Cashier/Compliance Officer/Internal Auditor to join our staff due to an upcoming retirement.  This individual will be a member of the bank?s management team and an officer of the bank, reporting directly to the President/Chief Executive Officer.  The title and salary are negotiable and will be commensurate with the selected candidate?s previous banking experience and educational background.

This position requires prior banking or credit union experience in a management role, and a four-year college degree is strongly preferred.  The bank?s Cashier is responsible for financial reporting, monitoring and balancing the investment portfolio, and several other related duties.  Additionally, this position serves as the bank?s compliance officer, which requires knowledge of all state and federal banking regulations.  Supervisory experience is required, as this individual will manage two direct reports in the loan operations department.  Knowledge of loan documentation and bank core processing is also required.  Internal audit experience is vital, as the qualified candidate will prepare reports and share findings with the bank?s Board of Directors.  Other duties include payroll preparation, submission, and processing, which requires knowledge of employee benefit administration.  There are many other potential duties available, depending upon the skills and experience of the selected candidate.

Accounting knowledge and experience with excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.  The qualified candidate will work with sensitive information, so maintaining confidentiality is essential.  Other key skills include an ability to multitask, an excellent working knowledge of computers and many software programs, and the ability to work both independently and cooperatively within a small team environment.
